IThe ARC Annual Family Day was held on 11 September 2005 (Sunday). At 10am, 152 ARC staff members, and their spouses and children were present at Singapore’s biggest outdoor Theme Park, Escape Theme Park and Wild Wild Wet. The purpose of the annual family day was to reward the employees’ contributions towards the company and gatherd their family members to interact with one another.

The event was kicked off with an opening speech by our President & CEO, Mr Lim Chin Boon, which was followed by the presentation of The Patients’ Award to the 4 most popular nursing staff who were voted by their patients at their respective dialysis centres. This award was to recognize their hard work in caring for our patients.

The recipients of the Patient’s Award were:

Fauziah Bte Said - Senior Enrolled Nurse, ARC Katong Centre
Ramlah Bte Ibrahim – Staff Nurse, ARC Jurong Centre
Cynthia Ng - Staff Nurse, ARC Mt Elizabeth Centre

The highlights of the family day were 4 fun games, where, in each game, a group of 10 participants, consisting of adults and children, both male and female, had to perform various tasks as a team. Throughout the games, there was plenty of laughter and screaming, as well as team members giving one another moral support. This truly reflected the friendship and teamwork in all teams.

The game organizer then presented wonderful prizes to the winning teams of each game. After the excitement of games, it was time to satisfy our hunger. Lunch was served at Burger King and Orange Julius at the Theme Park, and all participants were given meal vouchers to allow them to decide for themselves when they wanted to eat.

After lunch, everyone was busy taking unlimited rides at the Theme Park. Then, we also moved on to the “Wild Wild Wet” Water Theme Park for rides. All the children and adults very much enjoyed either resting on water floats, or going for rides.

It had been a really fun day, and everyone was already looking forward to next year’s Family Day.
