Dialysis patients are encouraged to take a break, to go on holidays and to spend time with their families and spouses. As part of Asia Renal Care's (ARC) efforts to provide holistic care to patients, ARC initiated the 2nd travelling program for Singaporean kidney patients.
On 11th May 2008, 15 Singaporean kidney patients departed for a 6 days Korea Wonderland Tour organized by Asia Renal Care with their family members and spouses. Upon arrival on 12th May 2008, their journey began with a visit to Incheon. ARC had arranged for a local Singaporean guide and a Chinese speaking Korean tour guide who, much to the delight of the Singaporean tourist, also taught them a few common Korean phrases.
The tour included visits to Icheon, Daejanygeum Theme Park, Nami Island and Chuncheon Myong. The group also visited Everland, the Majestic Gyeongbok Palace and the Blue House in additional to numerous other attractions.

They also had the opportunity to participate in a highly enjoyable Kimichi making session in the Korea Traditional Centre. Moreover, they had the opportunity to dress up in "Hanbok", the traditional Korean costume, for a photo taking session.

The patients also savored a sumptuous Imperial dinner on the 5th day of their visit.

The Korean dialysis centre, which the kidney patients visited, was impressive and splendidly clean. Korea lived up to its reputation of being a friendly nation. The Singaporean visitors were greeted with a welcome banner and the nursing staffs came forward to welcome the patients warmly at the doorsteps before leading them into the dialysis area. The patients were satisfied with the professionalism exhibited by the nursing staff despite the language barrier. They were skillful and organized. Within an hour, the kidney patients were all comfortably settled and had their meals served.

The CEO, Mr. CB Lim visited the centre during the 2nd session of dialysis. Patients expressed to Mr. Lim their heartfelt appreciation to Asia Renal Care for organizing such an enjoyable and memorable vacation. It was definitely a highly memorable experience for the Singaporean kidney patients.
The Singapore tour group concluded their journey on 16th May 2008. All in all, it was eventful, interesting and a most memorable trip for both the patients and their family members.
